The Bungay Black Dog Marathon takes place on the 10th of April 2022 and is sponsored by Berry M&H once again. The Marathon is organised by Bungay Black Dog Running Club as part of their annual Festival of Running.  It sees runners of all abilities taking part in their choice of full marathon, half marathon, 10k or 5k races.  This year is the 40^th anniversary of the first Bungay Marathon, back in April 1982.

The Marathon route starts and ends at Maltings Meadows. It consists of a two-lap rural road race which covers hilly and flat sections through the beautiful Norfolk and Suffolk Waveney valley.

Bungay Black Dog Running Club meet on Tuesday, Thursday evenings and Friday mornings. They have both junior and senior coaching and training sessions with a variety of events throughout the year in addition to the Bungay Black Dog Marathon.
