Job Title: Production Operatives

Reports to: Shift Supervisor and Manager of each department

Hours: We have various shift patterns available anything from 4 hours to 12 hours, zero hours up to full time 40 hours a week on a fixed term contract.

Location: Berry M&H two Beccles sites

Job Purpose:                         

• Hand packing production directly from production machines to a post production quality standard

Responsibilities and Duties:

• To ensure all machines are kept productive by ensuring a constant supply of bottles are always available, when completing a Production Support Operative role within the print department.
• To follow the 6S housekeeping program.
• To complete all tasks in accordance with the relevant work instructions.
• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure that your work area is kept safe, clean and tidy
• Comply with quality standards as set by the company
• Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to: health & Safety, Quality and Environment management.
• Ensure that all production paperwork tasks are completed correctly.
• Any other reasonable management request

Essential Skills:

• The ability to work on ones own initiative to achieve objectives and take responsibility for work undertaken
• The ability to communicate effectively, particularly verbally
• Confident in challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work
• Is able to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives

• Double checks accuracy of own work

Desirable Experience:

• Previous Production Operative experience would be desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
