Job Title: Trainee Operations Administrator

Hours: Mondays – Friday 08.30 – 17.00

Location: Berry M&H Corby, Sallow Road, Weldon Industrial Estate, Corby, NN17 5JX,

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Trainee Operations Administrator to join our busy logistics team.

This is an entry-level role and would be an exciting opportunity for a school leaver who is looking to start a career in administration or an individual with a small amount of admin experience. A genuine willingness to learn and a good work ethic is essential. The successful applicant will receive full training for their new role.


  • UK Logistics: Coordinating transport (online portals/emailing)
    • Processing using Carriernet/Driver Log In
    • Coordinating with warehouse
    • Retrieval of PODs
    • UK haulage rate requests
    • Overseeing deliveries to completion
  • Raising of Export Documentation (via external/internal software)
  • Generate department reports.
  • Respond to email and telephone enquiries.
  • Coordinating Samples:  picking/packing/arrange transport
  • Generate department reports.
  • General office duties.
  • Provide administrative support to the Sales department.
  • Assist with holiday cover across both the Logistics and Sales departments.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications, skills and knowledge:

A good level of computer literacy, most importantly Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows operating system.
GCSE Maths and English – C’s and above.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Be able to self-manage, but also the ability to work in a team.
Excellent organisational skills.
Accuracy in data input/analysis.
Bring a high level of enthusiasm to work with a cheerful and optimistic ‘can do’ attitude.

Desirable qualifications, skills and knowledge:

Experience in office administration and/or suitable business, administration or IT qualifications.
Experience in customer service.
Familiarity with Sage accounting software.
