Daniel Clarke joined in August 2008 as an Apprentice in our Toolroom. In June 2012 Michael Rivett, Toolroom Manager, was delighted to present Daniel with his Certificate confirming his completion of the ‘Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering’. Daniel attended Eagit College in Norwich during his Apprenticeship and was also assessed on many occasions in the workplace as part of his qualification. Daniel was pleased to complete his course and thanked his colleagues in the Toolroom for their support.
We recognise that our success is dependent on the company continuously improving the way we do things. Staff development is important to us and developing and retaining high quality staff underpins everything we do.
Some of our Technical staff from the Injection Department; Mark Ballard, Nigel Jones and Barry Woodard have successfully completed qualifications in Polymer Processing and Related Operations. They completed the qualification in liaison with the College of West Anglia. The candidates were required to build up a portfolio of work and demonstrate competence through an assessment process in several areas including optimising standard operations which are under process control, evaluating and modifying processing parameters to meet process operations and safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace.
RPC M&H Plastics is committed to continuous improvement and would like to congratulate these four members of staff on this achievement.
I started in a pool of production operatives and was successfully recruited to Trainee Technician (minimum of 18 months training each in two production areas), gaining valuable knowledge and experience in a growing industry.

My career with the busines began as a Production Operative within our Decoration department, progressed to Supervisor level, and then most recently became a Unit Manager.
Paula – Unit Manager

Gary – Technical Manager
I joined the company in a trainee buying role from college in 1990. The business invested time and money for my development and sponsored me for four years to enable me to gain my Graduate Diploma in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management (MCIPS). I completed this in 1997 and managed the I.T. department. Recently I was recruited to oversee our UK sales department.
Martin – Commercial Manager
I am currently completing a four year toolmakers apprenticeship and spent my first year at EAGIT (engineering college) where I learnt basic skills before working on site in the toolroom. I am now trying to achieve my NVQ Level 3 in Engineering as part of my apprenticeship.
